Capstone Orthopedic is Hiring a Certified Orthotist Near Chico, CA
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Orthotist to join our healthcare team. As an Orthotist, you will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide custom orthotic solutions for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise in designing, fabricating, and fitting orthoses will contribute to improving patients' mobility, function, and overall well-being. Board eligible clinicians with sufficient experience will also be considered.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' musculoskeletal conditions and functional limitations.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop appropriate orthotic treatment plans.
- Utilize various measurement techniques to obtain accurate measurements for the fabrication of custom orthotic devices.
- Design and create orthoses such as braces, splints, shoe inserts, and other supportive devices, using appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality of orthotic devices through fitting and adjustments.
- Provide education and instructions to patients and their caregivers on the proper use, maintenance, and care of orthoses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay current with advances in orthotics technology, research, and industry trends through ongoing professional development.
Required skills and qualifications
- Certificate in orthotics or Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Physical Therapy, Kinesiology, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Certified Orthotist.
- Board certification as an Orthotist from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and orthotic principles.
- Proficient in using computer software related technologies such as MS Office, Google Workspace, EMR systems, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and technical skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing patient needs and requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to collaborate in a team-based environment and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
